Inspection-ready eTMF audit trails

Has anyone configured Vault eTMF so the audit trail export includes user ID, UTC timestamp, reason for change, and version lineage in a single, locked PDF that satisfies 21 CFR Part 11 without manual reconciliation? After an internal QC of 42 files last week, we flagged inconsistent time zones and missing rationale fields; I’m looking for practical settings or vendor workflows that hold up in MHRA/FDA inspections…

I feel your pain with the eTMF audit trail! I’ve run into those frustrating time zone inconsistencies, too. Have you tried configuring the automated settings in Vault to lock the audit trail PDF? It can save a ton of headache in keeping things compliant without manual adjustments.

I’ve had success using Vault’s automated settings to group changes by user ID along with timestamps… The key is ensuring your timezone configurations are aligned across the board. Are you considering reaching out to your vendor for specific configurations?
